BASIC CRITERIA OF EVALUATION:
The jury mainly judges the CONTENT, CREATIVITY, LANGUAGE (comprehensibility, pronunciation, grammatical correctness, richness of vocabulary), EFFECTIVENESS OF THE USE OF THE LANGUAGE (how much language is used), EFFECTIVENESS OF THE USE OF ALL PUPILS IN THE CATEGORIES OF GROUPS (effective use of the potential of the pupils or students in the group), WHOLE IMPRESSION, TECHNICAL IMPRESSION.
Though the form of the film and technical quality are not the principal criteria of evaluation, satisfactory quality of the sound is essential for the comprehensibility of the spoken language. Spoken English should not be suppressed by the accompanying music.

The video card should be shot by a person with some basic knowledge and experience of operating the camera.
WHY:
The competition motivates English learning, supports learners’ progress in communicative skills in the target language, creativity of the learners and teachers and it also helps to broaden the use of video technique as a unique language teaching and learning tool. It also helps to improve the quality of EFL teaching in schools in the Czech Republic.
